Annual Christmas Party

Come join us for our annual Christmas Party!  Club members and guests are welcome.  The club will be purchasing and presenting small gifts to members in attendance.  We are also planning on having a 'White Elephant' gift exchange.  If you would like to participate in the gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift - nominal value $25.

26th Annual Swap Meet

In 1993 the Brainbusters and Tidewater Model Soaring Society started the Swap Meet and it has continued ever since.  Newport News Park Radio Control Club, Inc proudly presents the 26th Annual Swap Meet.

Location:
  Immanuel Baptist Church
  69 Saunders Rd
  Newport News, VA
  Same location as last year.

 



Time:
  Doors open for setup at 8:00 am. 
  Open to the public at 9:00 am (no selling before 9:00 am).
  Event duration: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm; door prizes will be drawn throughout the event.
  Raffle drawing at 12:30 pm for a Spektrum iX12 (transmitter only). You do not have to be present to win.

Cost:
  General Admission: $5.00, ladies and children 10 and under are free.
  Plenty of food - come hungry! 
  All food and drink provided by the Church Youth Group.

Sellers:
  All tables are $12.00 each and the renter of the table/tables gets free admission. 
  Don't delay - reserve tables early; 2018 was a complete sell-out!

From I-64 WEST: Take exit 250B toward Yorktown. Turn left at light and then turn right at next light onto Ft Eustis Blvd. Go 1.7 miles and turn right onto Richneck Rd (636). Go approximately 4/10s of a mile crossing railroad tracks. Turn left into gate and follow road to field.

From I-64 EAST: Take Exit 250B toward Yorktown. Continue through the light onto Ft Eustis Blvd. Go 1.7 miles and turn right onto Richneck Rd (636). Go approximately 4/10s of a mile crossing railroad tracks. Turn left into gate and follow road to field.

From Route 17: Turn left or right depending on direction of travel onto Ft Eustis Blvd (Rt 105). Go approximately 1.8 miles and turn left onto Richneck Rd (636). Drive until crossing over railroad tracks. Field entrance will be on left.

National Model Aviation Day

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

The Newport News Park Radio Control Club will host an event in celebration of National Model Aviation Day on August 13, 2016 in support of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) mission to promote development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity. The AMA serves as the official national body for model aviation in the United States.

The public is invited to celebrate National Model Aviation Day with the members of the Newport News Park Radio Control Club at the NNPRCC Flying Field.

Location: Off Richneck Road in Newport News.  Need directions?

  • This event is FREE to everyone to attend!
  • Watch pilots fly radio controlled aircraft, learn about flying radio control and even fly one yourself!
  • Make a $1 donation or more for a flight on a ‘buddy box’ with an expert pilot, to fly a flight simulator, or food and drinks.
